This project is the result of a happy accident; when a series of distractions caused me to make a number of errors whilst trying to draw the Deanery Tower in Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Since that happy accident, I have drawn a number of buildings in this style. From historic sites in Suffolk, castles and palaces I’ve visited with my other-half, locations from fantasy films, and even my own home.

I pick out recognisable features and unique details from the building’s architecture and rearrange them on the page. The resulting image captures the character and charm of a building whilst, quite often, still being recognisable.
