365, 2017
As the hammer of adult life hit me after university, I experienced a severe creative block for the first time in my life as an artist.
So, in 2017, I set myself the challenge of creating an artwork every single day for a year. This daily commitment forced me to make work on the move, to be instinctive, to try new materials, and to play - going against my natural tendencies as an overthinker.
What resulted was a body of 365 works spanning abstract drawing, experimental painting, photography, and performance. Many pieces were artistically unsuccessful, but they achieved a far more important result: they reignited my creative flame. Several breakthroughs from that year left a lasting legacy on my ongoing artistic practice.
Below is a selection of highlights and influential experiments from the project.
